Karla (b. 1996, Minnesota USA) is a New York based painter, performer, filmmaker, and installation artist whose work explores existentialism of the human condition. Influenced by Surrealism, Neo and Abstract Expressionism as well as traditional animation. Her pieces reflect dreams, love, and sensuous communication. Snapshots of the diversity and chaos through humor in everyday life. Her practice is informed by Western philosophy, particularly conversations of conformity, surveillance, elitism, and social structure.
